Landscape Drawing - Final Piece
This is a highly detailed final piece
drawing using a conte crayon and white chalk. This drawing shows a very
impressionistic view of a pathway that is surrounded by trees and shrubbery. This
drawing depicts a very dull day with hardly any brightness in the sky and
little highlighted areas within the drawing. However, the contrast in the
gradients of shading make this drawing stand out and creates a sense of depth. Highlighted
areas have been shown in the tree, lampposts and some of the small shrubbery,
which shows a great contrast from some of the really dark areas within this
drawing.
The sense of perspective in this drawing
leads your eye down the path and into the distance with the trees and shrubbery
appear to be caving in as the eye is led further and further down into the distance.
The eye is also led to another path, which is leading of to the right of the
drawing. This is helped by the banister with its highlighted area that helps
the eye to concentrate on this area.
This drawing has a good sense of
perspective and detail and shows a sense of curiosity as the path leads away
into the distance and it is unknown what it around the corner. Using grey tonal
colours also sets this drawing in a very dull day, as there is no colour to
show any happiness within this drawing but sets a very interesting final piece.
